Every evaluation ends with a homeowner asking who should do the work, and we answer that question several hundred times a year. We do not charge for it, we take no commission and we have no financial interest in who gets the job — an assessment firm that takes a cut of the remedy is not an assessment firm, and the programme administrators reading our files know it.
What we do instead is check. Insurance, provincial licensing, programme registrations and WSIB or WCB standing are verified before anyone goes on the list, and re-checked. That is the whole value of the list: a homeowner can act on it.
The registrations that matter most in 2026 are Save on Energy and Enbridge in Ontario, the approved-contractor lists for the Alberta CEIP municipalities, and Efficiency Manitoba's participating contractor network — because those are the programmes where the paperwork determines whether the homeowner actually gets paid.
