If you read one thing about British Columbia this year, read this. The CleanBC Energy Savings Program is now income-qualified across the board — every official requirements document is tiered by household income and capped by property assessment, and some rebates are simply gone. A great deal of BC marketing still describes these as open to everyone. They are not.
Two practical traps. You must pre-register before the work starts, and your eligibility code expires three months after approval. And for straightness: this programme does not require a home energy evaluation. If you do not qualify on income, the live general offers have effectively moved to BC Hydro and FortisBC.
In force for invoices dated on or after 6 July 2026 for ground-oriented homes, and 1 April 2026 for condos and apartments. Eligibility codes expire three months after approval. You must pre-register before installing.
