Evaluation required, before and after
This programme requires a pre-retrofit and a post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation by a registered energy advisor working under a licensed Service Organization. That is what we are.

What it is
This is the most significant change in Alberta this year for anyone doing this work. For 2026 Medicine Hat has made a pre-renovation and a post-renovation EnerGuide evaluation, by a registered NRCan energy advisor, a condition of the programme — the post-renovation evaluation is explicitly new. And only the measures that appear in your EnerGuide Renovation Upgrade Report are eligible, which means the evaluation has to happen before you decide what to do, not after.
Dates and status
Work must be done between 1 January and 15 December 2026, with rebate requests in by 15 December 2026. Reservations stay open until the fund is subscribed.
