Do you need an energy evaluation for this?

Evaluation required, before and after

This programme requires a pre-retrofit and a post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation by a registered energy advisor working under a licensed Service Organization. That is what we are.

What it is

With the federal loan gone this is the most substantial home energy loan available to any Canadian homeowner, and it is available to about a million of them. It requires a pre-retrofit and a post-retrofit EnerGuide assessment, and the city puts $600 towards them. The loan is secured against the property, which is what lets the rate and the term be what they are.

Dates and status

Open, with no closure notice. The $600 assessment credit is described as time-limited.

What it pays, as published
